Happy Saturday, Sailfish parents!

We wanted to reach out and touch base about our 2 upcoming events. 

First, we have made the decision to POSTPONE the car wash that is set to take place tomorrow, May 3rd. Due to the rain, the sudden cold snap, and a lack of volunteers, the event no longer felt like it would draw in enough revenue for our time. A big shout-out to everyone who signed up as volunteers! You'll hear it said more than once, but this team cannot function without the help of all of our parents. Moving forward, we need as much help as we can get to make this a great season for our sailfish!

As the board decides on a new date for the carwash, we will communicate with all of you and send out a new sign-up sheet.

Second, our kick-off party is this Monday, May 4, at the Sweetwater playground, at 6:30 pm. Join the Sailfish coaches, Board, and other swimmers for a kickoff event and cookout! Families will get the chance to meet our new head coach, reconnect with swim team friends, participate in a swimsuit swap, get information about the upcoming season, and eat good food! Non-swim neighbors are welcome to join the festivities. The team will be selling grilled burgers ($5) and hot dogs ($4); all proceeds benefit the swim team.
